MOVING MASCULINITY is a digital village where global Black men do their emotional work. They connect, exchange, talk and engage as part of their collective healing. This space is about reassigning a full humanity that was stripped from them.

 

This digital village modernizes and digitizes ancestral tradition. It is made up of four rooms: DAMAGE | COMMUNITY | HEALING | DREAMING. Each reflects a stop on a journey of navigating trauma, naming emotions and difficult truths, dealing with emotional inheritance, and imagining a future for the men you’re becoming, while reflecting on the boy you were. It is multi-media: fusing poetry, scripted narrative, ceremony and audio.

 

Built by a global team from across the USA, the UK and Ghana, MOVING MASCULINITY: the Emotional Justice digital villagefeatures a cross generational group from 16 years old to 60.
